Overview
I am so excited to host another retreat at the unique and special Baton House. The house is situated on 60 hectares of idyllic countryside, bordered by the pristine native bush and untouched rivers of the Kahurangi National Park, about 90mins drive from Nelson.
Owned by the Baton Valley Trust, whose mission begins “We aspire to achieve small-scale, sustainable conservation, in order to maintain and regenerate native species of flora and fauna…”
Their approach to the land aligns with my own belief that we are part of Nature and not separate to it, responsible for its care, as “When the land is well, the people are well.”
A bit more about what to expect…
Each day you there will be a Vinyasa Flow yoga session and a guided meditation/relaxation practice.
Being at Baton House means you are immersed in Nature and you will have plenty of time to explore and enjoy the stunning surroundings, or just relax.
There are great walks, a refreshing river to dip in and a hot tub for night time star gazing. There is also the chance to help out on the land, if that’s your thing, which is totally optional!
Give yourself the gift of time. Three nights and two full days to relax, explore, unwind and make a positive difference in special surroundings, as I gift part of the retreat cost to a mental health charity set up by our host, Ange, Zest for Life.
Please be mindful that if you are an experienced yogi wanting a challenge then this probably is not the retreat for you as clases suit all levels.
Accommodation
There are a variety of sleeping options including shared rooms and a tipi – we’ll choose beds on arrival. Your own tent or camper is an option as well.
Food
Ange cooks nourishing, vegetarian, wholefood meals along with snacks, herb teas and coffee (and great cakes!).
Investment
Limited to 8 participants, this is a relaxed, intimate retreat for an investment of $625.00 which includes all meals, shared accommodation (including bedding and towels) and the medicinal plant workshop. Please read the terms and conditions and if happy, contact me via the link below to reserve your place.
I look forward to welcoming you.
Testimonials from prior North Island retreats:
“This retreat was just what I needed – it was the perfect length, in the perfect location. Jo’s teaching style is so inclusive and non-confrontational. She brings yoga back to what it should be, which is enjoyable and what is comfortable for you. I would definitely come again!”
“The yoga retreat was epic. Jo is a fantastic yoga instructor and guided me with ease to find my level of ability. No pressure, my pace and a fun retreat. I highly recommend you put Jo + The Flow Co on your bucket list !!”
